Government Sadiq College Women University (GSCWU) is a higher- education, public- research institution established at Bahawalpur, Punjab in 2013 on the initiative of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. The GSCWU is committed to provide high quality in teaching and research to concoct cultured and learned females for a progressive Pakistan. The main purpose of building Sadiq College Women University Bahawalpur is to foster academic environment for the female education seekers of South Punjab.

GSCWU runs 26 programs of BS, MA, and MSc under five faculties. The student enrollment has increased from 4500 in 2015 to about 6000 in 2019. The graduate, post graduate and doctoral courses that are taught at the university are no less than any international program.
